Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 May 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Argus (“Argus”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), the AI-powered scouting platform available at www.argus.football. By creating an account or using the service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use Argus. You agree to provide accurate information when registering, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. You are responsible for any actions taken by users you invite to your organisation.
2. The service
Argus lets professional scouts, agencies, and clubs capture player observations (including by voice), generate AI-assisted scouting reports, and manage a player database. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time. We may also impose reasonable usage limits to keep the service available for everyone.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, or the rights of any third party;
- Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringes intellectual property;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or related systems;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the service except as expressly allowed;
- Use the service to build a competing product, or to train machine-learning models on our outputs;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create in Argus (player notes, reports, voice recordings, ratings, etc.). You grant Argus a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content solely as needed to operate and improve the service for you. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to upload any content you bring into Argus, including any third-party data about players.
5. AI features
Argus uses third-party AI providers to transcribe audio and generate scouting reports. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased and must be reviewed by you before being relied on for decisions. You remain solely responsible for any decision made on the basis of AI-generated content.
6. Third-party authentication (Google)
If you sign in using Google, your use of that integration is also subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Argus only requests the minimum scopes (openid, email, profile) required to authenticate you. You can revoke Argus’ access at any time from your Google account.
7. Privacy
Your use of Argus is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what information we collect and how we use it.
8. Fees and billing
Some features may be free; others may require a paid subscription. Pricing and billing terms for paid plans will be presented at the point of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
9. Intellectual property
All rights in the Argus software, branding, and underlying technology are owned by Argus or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of those rights to you.
10. Termination
You may stop using Argus and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to other users, third parties, or Argus. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we will delete or anonymise your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimer
Argus is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Argus and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred euros (€100) — whichever is greater.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give reasonable advance notice in-app or by email. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which Argus is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.
